Digital Strategist

We’re looking for a strategist eager to dive into a tightly knit, integrated team with producers, designers, and developers. Strategists at Brooklyn Digital Foundry lay the foundation for all our work, helping clients understand best practices and envision innovation through a suite of tools including stakeholder interviews, market research, user testing, user personas, content audits, site maps, wireframes, prototypes, and more. Strategist responsibilities span 4 key categories – brand strategy, digital strategy, presentation and facilitation, and supporting the agency. With your teammates, you’ll balance the needs of clients and users to create visually-dynamic and user-centered interactive experiences.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in web strategy or user experience roles required; digital agency experience preferred
  • Broad set of strategic experience and skills across information architecture, user experience and interaction design, brand strategy and positioning, and digital content.
  • Experience leading facilitation with clients; experience leading workshops and design thinking exercises a plus
  • Excellent organization and communication/facilitation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex concepts for a variety of audiences
  • Knowledge of digital products and the digital marketing landscape required, in particular knowledge of best practices for web (.i.e. responsive web design, modular design)
  • Basic understanding of Google Analytics, Google Event Tracking, and Google Tag Manager
  • Basic understanding of data architecture within Content Management Systems
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how APIs function
  • Basic understanding of user testing methodologies/methods/tools.
  • A strong editorial point of view for copywriting
  • Low-fidelity design and wireframing skills a plus

Responsibilities

  • Create insight-driven, results-centered strategies for web, from initial research to brainstorming, wireframing, design, and production
  • Perform detailed evaluation of client's business environment including stakeholder needs, capabilities, content audits, comparative audits, feature lists, target goals, and trend analyses to identify unique market opportunities and threats
  • Support projects with consumer research, market research, search optimization, key performance indicators, user tests, online surveys, sitemaps, case studies, and more
  • Collaborate closely with Client Service, Design, and Technology teams throughout engagements to ensure fidelity to user and business goals
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer by annotating high fidelity designs, documenting decisions, and providing client support such as content management system trainings and best practices documentation.
  • Structure and present recommendations to studio teams and clients for approval, advise on active and anticipated client engagements for missed opportunities
  • Provide strong editorial point of view for copywriting
