Digital Strategist

Brooklyn Digital Foundry is a brand, web, and content agency that helps clients change how they use digital platforms and how they engage their audiences. We’re a small, skilled crew making a big impact for great clients.

We’re looking for a strategist eager to dive into tightly knit, integrated teams with producers, designers, and developers. Together, you’ll balance the needs of clients and users to create visually-dynamic and user-centered interactive experiences.

  • 1-3 years of experience in strategy or user experience roles required; digital agency experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or certificate in user research, user experience, or interaction design required
  • Extensive knowledge of digital products and the digital marketing landscape required, in particular deep knowledge of best practices for web (.i.e. responsive web design, modular design)
  • Advanced understanding of Google Analytics, Google Event Tracking, and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with multivariate and A/B testing tools preferred
  • Experience refining information architecture and creating sitemaps and low-fidelity wireframes
  • Experience leading client workshops and presenting recommendations to internal teams and clients
  • Basic understanding of data architecture within content management systems and customer relationship management systems
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and how APIs function
  • Understanding of brand strategy principles such as positioning, values, tone and voice; experience crafting brand identity deliverables preferred


  • Create insight-driven, results-centered strategies for web, from initial research to brainstorming, wireframing, design, and production
  • Perform detailed evaluation of client's business environment including stakeholder needs, capabilities, content audits, comparative audits, feature lists, target goals, and trend analyses to identify unique market opportunities and threats
  • Support projects with consumer research, market research, key performance indicators, user tests, online surveys, sitemaps, case studies and more
  • Ensure integrity of internal and external project briefs, and facilitate smooth handoffs to both client and internal team
  • Structure and present recommendations to studio teams and clients for approval, advise on active and anticipated client engagements for missed opportunities
  • Optimize final product for SEO, and for functionality based on A/B Testing,, and other opportunities
  • Provide strong editorial point of view for copywriting
